These masks started in 2014 during Koganecho Bazaar artist residency, after recieving the artworks i started reworking them as to commemorate neighbors who became victims of violence, presented as Dead Masks in a group exhibition titled Strange Loop in 2016. There were more than 500 of these tarpaulin masks which later became an exercise of exhausting various feelings through painting. And since then, these paintings have been utilized to be presented as installations, performative and video works. These images of Dead Masks are some of the firsts of photographic work of the series.
